CYCLIST INFO

This is not a race but rather a fully supported long distance 6-day ride from Sandakan to Kota Kinabalu. Cyclists will cover almost 600km over the entire journey and need to have a reasonable level of fitness. Average distance covered per day will be 100- 150km at a speed of 25-30km/hour. There will be cap at a maximum number of 16 cyclists.

Registration fee (via donation):
Minimum donation of RM3000 (tax exemptible)
All funds collected will be channelled towards Malaysian Children Hospice Kota Kinabalu after covering operating costs.

What’s included?
The registration fee will include three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and accommodation, t-shirt and cycling jersey. Meals will be halal, but riders are required to inform us of other dietary restrictions. Accommodation will be twin sharing (single beds) with a safe area to store bicycles. Group personal accident coverage will be obtained for riders.

A support convoy including a medical/safety/technical team will be available through out the ride to carry luggage and to pick up riders that might not be able to complete the distance. Cyclists however are encouraged to complete the full distance.

What’s not included?
Cyclists will need to bring their own bicycle, helmet, complete with front and rear light, and water bottle. Flight tickets to the start and end point of the event are not covered.

Activities
We aim to provide all riders with a unique, memorable experience of a lifetime and thus may arrange social activities to local attractions along the way. These are completely optional, and costs will be borne by riders themselves.
